This week, we are going to continue
with the basketball season. The students
will develop driving, receiving and passing skills used in
the basketball and shooting test; at the
same time, they will develop physical activities to reach a high level of
physical activity.
9th-11th grades
This week, the students will understand
the variety of factors that may affect the conduct of physical activities of their
choice.

Why smoking is playing with fire?
When urged to quit smoking, people
often say, “well, I don´t have too many other vices”. With a vice like this,
you don´t need any others. Smoking alone will do you in. Smoking is the greatest
cause of preventable death in our society. It directly accounts for more than
400,000 deaths a year in the United States.
A smoker´s risk of heart attack is
more than twice that of a nonsmoker. If a smoker does have a heart attack, he
or she is more likely to die-and to die suddenly (within an hour). Because
smoking can lead to high blood pressure, a smoker has three times a nonsmoker´s
risk of stroke.
