As always reminding you that for P.E. class:
We need all students to wear proper clothing for the class.

-  No dresses for the girls
-  No jeans

-  No boots or shoes

(Please, mom & dad collaborate with us by sending a proper sunscreen or sun block with your son or daughter to avoid any skin rash, and please include a mosquito repellent as well.)

9th to 11th graders, continuing with the workout project, this week’s performers are: Sofia and Dylan from 11th. Also we shall test how much you have improved your speed, taking your time in a 50m. dash; just like the last time. For Thursday and Friday, we have the Illinois test, this test is aim to measure your level of agility and speed; so be ready.

6th to 8th graders, we will start the workout project with  partnerships whom will be in charge of bringing a routine that encompass cardio and strengthening exercises, and we shall play the game “river crossing battle”; this game will test determination and agility of each team member.

Please take notice of following information:

SPRING GENERAL ASSEMBLY - The General Assembly of parents will be held on Saturday, May 17, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Cafeteria. We are required to have a quorum of one-third of our parents present in order for the meeting to be considered legal and for any decisions made at the General Assembly to be binding. We have 325 parents listed as members of the school association, so we need to have at least 108 parents in attendance (although only one parent per family can vote, both parents can be counted for quorum). We need for YOU to attend! Your ideas and your votes are important for the school. The school will provide supervision and activities for children during the General Assembly (from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.) Dr. Jay Ketterer, Discovery School’s new Head of School, will be present at the Assembly.

DPTO– The DPTO will be hosting their traditional GARAGE SALE and CAR WASH this Saturday, May 17. We hope all our school community will mark their calendars and support the DPTO by attending!

DISCOVERY ZONE – Our Summer camp is back! Join us and allow your children to have a fun-filled three weeks at the beginning of their summer. Spread the word among family and friends and get special discounts!
